Wii Sports is the 4th best-selling video game of all time. Bundled at launch with the 6th best-selling console of all time, it's no surprise. It features 5 game modes: tennis, golf, baseball, boxing, and bowling. As of April 2015, the world record for the most perfect games in Wii Sports bowling goes John Bates, at 20,000 total perfect games.
Just barely missing the top 25 best-selling games, Wii Play is much simpler than Wii Sports, but still a fun time. Much of its popularity came from being bundled with Wii Remotes, so many people buying an extra Wii Remote opted for the Wii Play bundle. The Tanks mode is one of the most popular, a series of challenges where you try to shoot all the enemy tanks and avoid being shot yourself.
Much less known than many of the other Wii Series games, Wii Party is a virtual board game party game where you play as Miis and partake in short minigames. Developed by NDcube, who later became the Mario Party developer, the game featured a mode unique to the Japanese version: a card game that required players to have a physical deck of cards.
Wii Fit and its enhanced version, Wii Fit Plus, land the 9th slot on the best-sellers list. Bundled with the Wii Balance Board, essentially a suped up scale, it included a range of exercises and minigames to encourage fitness. The instructor of the Yoga and Strength Training modes was added to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS as Wii Fit Trainer.
